Josefien Vermeersch is a labour and organisational psychologist and holds a Master's of Science in Management. She has extensive strategic and policy experience in selection and recruitment, as well as the labour market as a whole. With her spontaneous personality and because of a personal experience, she started volunteering at Kom op tegen Kanker for better regulations for young people with chronic illnesses in the professional world and became a member of their biomedical patient commission. It is under that capacity that she joined KickCancer to advocate more age-specific research towards better treatments, especially for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
