Anticancer Fund’s medical director, Gauthier Bouche (MD), discusses drug repurposing in the perioperative setting on the European Training School in Perioperative Care of the Cancer Patient. This conference is organised by the European Platform for Outcomes Research into Perioperative Interventions during Surgery for Cancer (CA 15204), the European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer, and the department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine of the University Hospital UZ Brussel (VUB), and takes place on March 9 & 10 in Brussels (Palais des Académies).

Anaesthesia for the cancer patient undergoes a striking development throughout all these years. Marked international speakers are invited, who will discuss both the evolution of all the aspects of research in the perioperative period and the future perspectives in anaesthesia for the cancer patient.

This meeting brings together anaesthesists, oncologists (both medical and surgical), and researchers concerned. Furthermore, it is an opportunity for all other specialists of other disciplines to obtain a broad overview of the (r)evolution which could evolve within the next few years.
